The SpellJam

A sci-fi roller derby game inspired by Apocalypse World,  MASKS: A New Generation, and sports storytelling tropes.

If there was time before the SPELLJAM, it’s been long forgotten. It has stopped wars, fostered peace, and became the only constant in our ever-changing universe. Today the SPELLJAM is the biggest event in sports-entertainment, it’s on air nearly every night (except Grothna’ar Memorial Week). Every citizen craves this good, good bloodsport, though the inner workings are dicey. Team lineups are fickle, with team members stabbing each other in the back for tabloid fame or middling financial compensation. Producers push and target certain players for ratings. The threat of death on the circuit is close during every match. Will you gain fame & fortune before retiring into obscurity? Or will you succumb to the treachery that is the SPELLJAM!

The SPELLJAM is a game for 3-6 players about collaborative sports storytelling and of having a radical time playing a roller derby RPG.
