WHAT IS *IT*?
We don’t ask this question.
We don’t talk about what *IT* could be or what *IT* means.
If we acknowledge *IT*, *IT* may grow further.
We just remove *IT*.

SLICE *IT* OUT is a dark, two-player game about the harm society places on outliers to conform by encouraging them to cut pieces of themselves out to fit into their community.

Two mechanics drive the game forward:

- A script of prompts to facilitate the experience

- A physical mechanic in which you pick an Okus, or something that will be torn/ripped throughout the game, and then proceed to cut, rip, grate, or tear player-made marks off of it

Players begin by creating the TAINTED, or someone infected by *IT*, and the HOLDER, a member of the TAINTED's community who holds authority and their Okus. Together, both will explore the community and lives of these two characters and lead them onto a journey of self-inflicted destruction or growth through sacrifice.

In order to remain with Us, you must rid yourself of *IT*, though *IT* cannot be split from you without great sacrifice. Now is the time to make that sacrifice. Now is the time to show your devotion and maintain your purpose. Now is the time to

SLICE *IT* OUT
